My Kid Rips

Derek spent this week at "Kids that Rip" Skate Camp.

This was his third year at the camp. He was able to stay with Regina's family and especially loved to be with Brooklyn.

One of the new ramps at skate camp was the 13 ft vert ramp. Derek conquered that massive ramp, even with his fear of heights.

They also put in a 1/2 pipe and I was lucky enough to watch him skate it on the last day. He has such amazing talent! He is an awesome skater and all around athlete.

This year Derek won the highest award of best attitude. He also was labeled the "gnarly-est skater" and "best tricks". He was awarded a Freedom board for his accomplishments!
