Primary Pioneer Day

Today we went to church with Eric & Jeannie. Jeannie was doing a special pioneer day primary and we were so lucky to get to participate.

The leaders & children all dressed up like pioneers.

They sang songs around the campfire

and listened to pioneers tell stories about coming across the plains.

One of the stories told about a lady getting bit by a snake on the trail and if you look closely in this picture, you will see that a real life prop was used for the story. I learned that Nana & Raelynn have a snake phobia, almost as bad as grandma Joyce.

The children made their own butter

and ate food from little cloths that had a few dried berries, beef jerky and a muffin. This was their entire days worth of food.

Today was a wonderful day to go to Primary.
