Uncle Eric took us to one of his really cool parks. This park was complete with carousel, train, pony rides and a petting zoo. The really awesome part was that he also had a pass to get us on all these rides FREE! Call me Carol, but I love that we got something free!
Sondra and her kids met us for a picnic at the park. Once we had eaten, the real fun began.
The kids rode on the Carousel a couple of times.
Next I took most of the kids and crowded onto the train. We rode around the park and through a fun tunnel, smiling the whole trip!
While Eric took another group on the train, I headed to the ponies with Carsen & Jake.
Carsen was right at the height & weight limit for riding the ponies. We were so glad he made the cut off, but Derek wasn't so lucky. (He really didn't mind. As you can see there are NO real pictures of him anywhere in this post! He was to "mature" to do most of the activites.)
Finally, we hit the petting zoo. They had a lot of different animals to see and some touch & feed too.
Carsen was the "King of the Petting Zoo". He was able to feed the most animals of all the kids. He & Derek had one quick lesson and they were off to feed a herd. After their food had run out, Carsen found leaves and even piles of spilt food to collect and feed the animals. He had such a great time.
