Another Fun adventure we embarked on was a tour of the USS Midway, a retired aircraft carrier. It was so HUGE! The boys were excited to explore the ship although there were a lot of stairs & tight spaces.
We saw every thing from the very small sleeping quarters...
to the Brig.
We were able to see the workings of the air craft hangar where they fixed the planes, after they came down on a huge elevator from the flight deck,
to the anchors and ropes and other gear that was used to dock the ship when needed.
Then our camera died while we explored more than 20 planes and helicopters on the deck. Luckily, Anthony reminded me we had cameras on our phones. Whooo...
We were also able to tour the flight deck & learn about who's in charge of what on one of those massive ships! It was a great & humbling experience.
