This season, Derek played fall ball on the Rock Hounds. His coach, Doug Sargent, was awesome!
The best thing about the coach was that he gave every kid a chance. He was always positive and truly taught the boys to love baseball while learning new skills.
Derek was able to learn how to play short stop and pitcher. He also got to catch a few times. He is a terrific player.
His coaches all said Derek was a pleasure to coach and that he had the best attitude of any kid on the team. He would always listen and was a great ball player.
After 2 games and 2 practices a week for the last 2 months, we are all ready to take the next 2 months off!
