Oh what do you do on a Saturday?

For me the answer is easy.  It's the same as every other day of the week, except Sunday, Baseball.  It is that season again.  We have all three boys on different teams, with games and practices during the week and then more games ALL day on Saturday.  Jake has the morning slot, Carsen the afternoon slot and Derek at night.  I enjoy watching them play so much that I hardly notice the hours, and hours and hours flying by.

This season Jake stayed in coach pitch and is on the Hot Rods.  He loves baseball.  He really loves to wear his uniform and carry all his gear.  His coaches are amazed at how may skills he has already acquired and uses.  He can hit from the coach every time.  He knows what the ready position is and is always ready.  He plays his base and knows where to cover when the ball is hit.  Many of the other kids all run after the ball, but Jake is on his base and ready for the throw.  He is great!

Derek is continuing in Majors and is on the Blue Jays.  He is thrilled to be an all star catcher.  He is at home behind the plate and loves it.  His coach is giving him lots of time back there to perfect his position.  He has also become the number 2 batter on his team.  He is a hitting machine.

Carsen has moved up to kid pitch, with all the boys he has been with for the last few years.  They are the Fighting Irish.  Carsen has lead the team in their adoption of a new name, the Irish Fighters.   The kids and fans all love the new name.  Carsen continues to amaze us and his coaches with his consistent, excellent hitting.  If he is up to bat, he is hitting and on base.  He is learning to steal bases and is a very speedy runner.  He still doesn't have a favorite position, but can play where ever the coaches put him.

We are so proud of all our boys and know they are worth every moment we spend at baseball.
