Champions

Derek had a fun season and learned a lot from all his Indians coaches.  All his fans enjoyed watching and cheering on him and his team.

 

 

Derek impressed his parents, the coaches and many others as he was an amazing catcher.  His coach was asked by the league president why he wasn't applying for the All Stars team.  I was very proud every single game with how hard he worked behind the plate and in motivating and cheering on his team mates. 

 He was given some extra coaching from one coach that thinks he is something special and that has helped him progress a lot.  That same coach invited him to try out for the Desert Cats club baseball team.  Derek did a great job at try outs and he made the team.  That will be our fun and excitement beginning in August.

 

As for this little league team, they ended up winning the whole thing.  The single elimination tournament was exciting and all the boys did great.  They took out the undefeated Diamondbacks in the final game.  Now they are entered into the little league Tournament of Champions against other Little Leagues across the state.   We are now waiting for the schedule of games and practices.
