Time in Temecula, CA

Anthony's niece, Rachel and her family, found out in the spring, that the Air Force was going to be relocating them from Las Vegas to Italy for 4 years.  We knew that we wanted to see them before they left no matter what it took.  After some planning with Anthony's sister Marie, we decided to head to Temecula at the end of May when he youngest daughter would be graduating from high school.

We had such a wonderful trip!  We headed West on Thursday, May 30.  We arrived in Temecula just in time for the graduation.  The boys stayed at Marie's house and watched TV so they wouldn't be bored.  It worked out perfectly.

After graduation we Marie had dinner for everyone at their house.  We stayed and visited for a long time.  It is so fun to hang out with everyone and catch-up.  When everyone was exhausted we headed over to our hotel a couple miles away for a good nights sleep.

The next morning we all met up and headed to the beach in Oceanside.

The weather was perfect.  The water was warm (compared to usual Pacific standards) and it was about 85 degrees out.

The kids played in the water and dug in the sand.

Later Matt and his girl friend Rae rented a super fun bike!  We all took turns trying it out.  It is a lot more work than it looks!

After so much fun at the beach, we went back to our hotel and crashed.  We had planned on meeting up to go to the Wine and Balloon Festival, but we were too beat.

The next morning we headed over to Marie's for a BBQ & swim party.  The kids had fun in the pool with their cousins for hours, until it was time to go.

It was hard to leave, but we had to drive back to AZ.  Before we said our goodbyes we had a little family photo shoot.

We had such a great time together.  I wish we could all be together more often, it just never works out that way.  Marie & Randall are true Empty Nester's now.  Rachel and family are in Italy, Becca is away at College in Ohio and Matt is going to school and working as a chef in Las Vegas.  I can't wait to all get together again!
