The day we were supposed to leave San Diego ended up being a Professional Sand Castle Contest. As luck would have it, Suzanne allowed us to stay in the beach house an extra day because the new tenants couldn't be there until the following day. We still needed to leave, but not until the evening. Regina felt the same way. We just weren't ready to leave quite yet! Instead we spent the day watching the sand castle teams build amazing things from nothing but water and sand.
It was definitely worth staying for. Lots of people on the beach, but so cool to see from start to finish.
