Old San Juan, Thursday

Thursday morning we took our time getting ready.   This time we had regular clothes on. We got a taxi from the hotel and headed to old San Juan.

We were immediately greeted by a crazy self proclaimed New York woman who had her ID stolen and was stuck in Puerto Rico she wanted money. We did not give her any but quickly she made me feel uneasy. We continueto walk up and down cobblestone streets. The buildings were all painted different colors but it was just beautiful. We found a Marshall's which we went into about a few books and then we had some lunch. I had some delicious nachos and Rodica had some steak on a plantain boat.   We shared both our meals and they were both delicious.

After enjoying lunch we continued to walk toward the big fortes part. Unfortunately, we decided to stop at a coach outlet store. Here we found many treasures to buy. Two bags of treasures in fact. We got some amazing deals so it really was worth it.

After our shopping we toured a few for an old buildings. We tooksome fun pictures and even took a little trolley around up and down the streets. After several hours we headed back to the hotel to meet up with Robyn.

This is the pee-pee tower.  Rodica said, "hurry! it smells!"

Rodica asked a police officer to take this picture for us.  I almost died of embarrassment, but he was very nice.

After he took the photo we started to walk and Rodica forced me onto this wall for a photo.  A few seconds later we heard a whistle.  Not a "hey sexy whistle" but a police whistle.  It was the same officer telling me that I couldn't be up on the wall.  He told me I needed to get down, right after I had my picture taken.  I almost died!

We were so happy to get a seat on the free old town tour bus after walking many blocks!

The capital building

Rodica and I took pictures of each other in the women's restroom at one of the forts.  Strangest bathroom ever.  The stalls were on either side of the arch below.  The sinks were behind me.

Again we met Diane for dinner but this time in the hotel.  Robin it had a busy day so she headed back to our room for an early bedtime.  We had to blow a couple twenties at the casino before we headed up to the room. We did our best in the cat machine, so we had to take a picture for Robyn.

We also walked next door to CVS for a few snacks for the next days adventures!  Every night we could hear the chirping of the little frogs, but they are very small and hide very well.  We tried to find them in bushes and tree as we walked along the street, but we never did see one.

Robyn needed some rest and we knew the next day would be busy, but we had to get pictures in the matching pajamies that we both had received from one of our beloved parents.  We tried to take a selfie.  We suck!

So we asked Robyn to take our photo instead.  She took a photo, just not of the pajamas!!!  We all laughed so hard and then she took another.

Do you think that we really got any rest?  No! This time Robyn got a neck massage from me and Rodica.  We talked and laughed and cried so much every night but nobody ever peed their pants.  The next day we had to wake up early for a very exciting adventure.
