Fun Friday Finale

We have had so many "fun Friday's" this summer, but now it is all about to end, as school begins. So this week we ended it all with a 9 hour adventure at the new "wet and wild" in Phoenix.

Of course we drug Nana along and we also brought Brennan and Margene, good friends of ours that happen to have season passes.

We opened up the place, with a large can of sun screen, and headed to the maze of slides and stairs. There was water pouring out from everywhere. IF you wanted to stay dry, this wasn't the place. On the top of this 3 story apparatus there was a gigantic bucket that filled with water about every 5 minutes. When it was full a little bell rang and the bucket tipped over, dumping hundreds of gallons of water on the people below. Amazingly enough, all the visitors with the defective y chromosome gathered beneath the bucket and waited for the water to pound them. This was Carsen's favorite part. Every time he heard that bell he raced over, just in time, for the big dump.

Derek being the only boy in the group tall enough to ride all the slides drug Nana and Margene to every long line in the park. I even snuck away a couple times while Jake was in the wave pool with Nana. Reportedly, the slides were all fun, but too short!

Carsen was able to ride the rainbow racer and even talked Brennan into trying it too. They loved it so much that they went on it all by themselves at the end when all the mom's were too tired to climb all the way back to the top. We were so proud of them.

We ate pizza for lunch & ate snow cones, icees and ice cream for snacks.

Finally, as the sun began to set, we took one last trip around the lazy river and then headed for home. We were tempted to stay for the "dive in movie", but we were all too tired to last.

We had a wonderful day and look forward to a lot more fun next summer!
