Year after year no one in Derek's class volunteers to be room mom, so I always get that lucky job. This year I was lucky enough to get a co-chair, Cathy. We worked together when our kids were in the same first grade class and we planned the most fun parties ever!
This year seems to be no different. Cathy and I planned lots of games...
A couple of Halloween crafts...
and even "the lab" with the traditional gross Halloween stuff
like peeled grapes, cooked pasta, jell-o, and other hidden sensory secrets.
The boys had the most fun at the one unplanned activity. Each boy put as many tear jerkers candies in his mouth as he could, and then waited, cried, screamed and had watery eyes. Derek was the winner with 10 in his mouth at once. Boys are so wierd.
