Christmas Eve

One of the Rodgers' family traditions is reading the book, "The Sweet Smells of Christmas"
We thought that it would be wonderful to re-inact the book, so we did...

Little Bear woke up and smelled something wonderful, he sniffed and sniffed... Mama was baking pies (with sugar), Christmas will be here soon.

After breakfast, little bear and his father went out into the snow to find a Christmas Tree.

Little Bear nestled his nose in the tree and sniffed, I think Christmas is coming.
It will be here soon.

Bear and his family decorated the Christmas Tree together. I think there's was a little less Charlie Brown-ish, and it probably didn't fall over again and again, but it was beautiful

While the tree cutters were out looking for a tree, Michelle led the kids in a making ornaments for the tree. They had fun and were quiet too!

After dinner, Sydney gathered all the cousins and they prepared for the Nativity story.

Raelynn was also asked to participate, but she wasn't sure she wanted to.
Randi graciously tried to fill it, but Raelynn came to her senses and did her part!

After the children's performance, we all sang Christmas carols,
while Nana passed out the Rodgers' traditional 2 gifts on Christmas Eve.
