I would have done this post like 6 weeks ago, but I just secured the pictures today from Nana Carlys. She is the one that was brave enough to take the boys to the zoo. Nana bought the annual pass, so the boys were able to spend time there in January and February with Nana Carlys. On this trip in particular, the boys were exposed to a few new things...
Derek was most enamored by the peacock. They spent a lot of time watching him strut around and show off his beautiful feathers for the boys.
On both visits, all the boys love the kimono dragon. They were amazed at his size and Jake was surprised that, "He was nice and didn't even breath fire on them!" He still talks all about the "dragon".
The boys took the train and visited many animals around the zoo, but the animal they remember most from the safari was tiger. He was tearing apart a rabbit for lunch!
The sting rays were back at the zoo on this visit. Jake has always been afraid to touch them, (probably the bad influence of Sydney) but this time he was brave enough to touch them.
Carsen and Jake were petting the rays and minding their own business when "SPLASH" Jake was soaked!
He had to ring out his shirt because he was drenched!
The boys loved the carousel ride and were very excited by the animals they chose.
Nana is simply the best and we are so grateful that she loves to take the boys to the zoo to learn new things and to have fun!

The Phoenix Zoo is so amazing. I miss it so much :(
