Day Trip to Sutter's Mill

Today we decided to venture out and do something. The kids have had so much fun just being together. Yesterday when I told my kids to get ready to leave they said, "No, we just want to stay here and play!" and so we did.

But today we were ready to go, so we went over to Sutter's Fort. We needed 2 cars for our 11 people so Dad, Mom & Raelynn decided to take Ryan's Camaro and cruise all the way there.

The kids enjoyed exploring the old town and all the antiques from the Gold Rush.

They had a lesson in how to mine gold.

Learned a few things in the blacksmith shop.

Explored a nature center where they fished, pet "dead animals", and watched a salamander eat crickets.

We even had a picnic, but best of all they loved to play on the banks of the American River.

We all had fun at Sutter's Mill.
