Point Loma Lighthouse

While out on the patio of the beach house, Jake noticed a flash of light across the water. I told him that it was coming from the lighthouse across the water. Immediately he wanted to go to see if the lighthouse keeper from Scooby-Doo was there.

So a couple days later we made it over to Point Loma to see the light house and Cabrillo National Monument. We learned about Cabrillo being the first Spanish explorer to find and claim the San Diego area for Spain. We hiked out to the lighthouse and enjoyed the beautiful view from way up above the bay.

Jake was only a little bit disappointed that the light keeper was not at the lighthouse and Carsen was very upset that he couldn't climb the stairs all the way to the top!
