It's Fall Ball

Well, we didn't have enough to do everyday, so we signed all 3 boys up for baseball.  Everyday but Sunday we are at practice or a game or both.  We did luck out because this season is Jake's first and he gets to play with Carsen's team from the last 4 seasons.  We really love the coaches and the positive way they teach the sport to these innocent kids.

Randi came to the game at 8:00am, on time, and brought her awesome new camera.  She was a little stalkerish, taking almost 300 photos in 90 minutes.  They are all great.
Carsen is a great player.  He played short stop and left-center field.  He is best at batting.  He hits everything and then runs!

Jake, on the other hand, is not at all sure what to do at all.  He is just so excited and in love with being on a team that he is all smiles!  His first order of business was to get cleats and a uniform.  Then he was ready to play.  Everyday he asks if it is practice or a game because he wants to play.

All the other boys on the team have played at least 2 seasons before, so Jake is the only probie.  The coaches were so patient and spent a lot of time teaching him the fundamentals.

1.  How to stand in the batters box and hold a bat.

But it paid off because he got a hit!

He needs a little work on which base to run to at what time, but that will come with time...

2.  Jake played 2nd base and right center field.  The coach told him to cover his base evey time the ball was hit, and he did it.  Literally.  Every time.

The boys won their game, but what is important is that they all had fun and are being taught great sportsmenship!
