You can get with this or you can get with that.

On Saturday we took a quick, unexpected trip to Las Vegas.  My good friend had a car that needed to get to her husband in Vegas.  Because of their circumstances, they needed help and we decided to step up.  The boys have never been so we booked a hotel room and headed out.  On the way up we were in a nice, roomy van.  We stopped at the Hoover Dam.  The boys were very interested in Lake Mead.

Once in Vegas we found our hotel and I took the boys swimming while Anthony had a nap.  We really wanted to show the boys what Vegas was about, so we headed out to Bass Pro Shop, for almost 3 hours.

Carsen, Jake and I looked at lots of fish.  Derek and Anthony shopped for fishing supplies.  Surprise, Surprise.  Then we toured the store together and found the shooting range.

After our shopping adventure we ate dinner and headed to The Strip, just to show the boys the lights and the water show at the Bellagio.  We made it only a few blocks before the younger boys were too tired and ready for bed.  Once back at the hotel, I went to pull out the sofa couch for the boys to sleep on and it was just a couch.  What?  I called the front desk to ask about the mix up and they were out of rooms and out of roll away beds.  After 2 hours of fighting and arguing with the hotel staff and hotels.com, we got a refund for the room, but Carsen slept on the floor and Derek was on the couch.  We all survived the night of little sleep.

The next morning we met up with my friend for the car exchange.  We traded the van for this awesome KIA SOUL.  We had to return this rental car for them.  So we decided to "get with this" and made our way back home.

Our last break was in the Joshua Tree Forest for a quick boy potty break.

The trip was quick and interesting, but I told Anthony to remind me of this trip next time I have a great idea.
