Kindergarten Music

Last week in the middle of all the running and planning and wrapping, we took time out to enjoy.  Jake's kindergarten put on their annual Christmas program.  This is when all the kids get together in sunglasses and Santa hats and sing their little hearts out.

By the 3rd kids you figure out that you need to get to the school almost an hour early to get a good seat.  Needless to say, we had good seats.  I saved a whole row for our family, both sets of grandparents included.  As I looked up and down our row, I was touched that Nana Rose and Papa Tony and Grumpaw and Nana Carlys came too.  Do my boys know how lucky they are to have both sets of grandparents so close?

Jake did a great job, although he is MY child.  He doesn't like to get up in front of others and he doesn't want to mess up while everyone is watching.  That being said he did all that he was supposed to do in a very small, quiet way as to not draw attention to himself.  The weeks prior he could be heard practicing his songs at the top of his lungs.

After the program we all came back to our house for cookies and hot chocolate.  We sat at the table and caught up with each other.  It was so nice to stop for a minute and enjoy the season.
