Children's Museum

We have done a lot of fun things over break, like clean out every closet, every drawer and every cupboard.  It feels so nice to be clutter free.  Anthony says that I am nesting for Randi.  Maybe I am, but I love to organize and de-clutter. 

The boys also made a list of things to do, none of which were cleaning.  Derek's consisted of fishing and skate boarding.  He has spent many, many hours skating.  We couldn't be happier that he has rekindled his love for his board.  He also fished in the neighborhood and with Uncle Mike.  He also went to Cabellas and Bass Pro Shop.

Carsen and Jake picked and saw 2 movies, went out to a couple of their favorite restaurants, played with their besties, Carsen = Brennan and Jake = Carter.  They have played out front and made all their Christmas returns.  I have spent hours helping with Lego sets and today we finished the last item, Children's Museum. 

I think one of the best parts of the museum is the Whoosh! machine.  You put a scarf in one part of the machine and it whooshes through the tubes and flies out from another part.  The boys totally loved it!

There is also a new 3 story Climber.  Carsen is afraid of heights and didn't want to go too high.  Jake has anxiety and wouldn't leave his brother's side.  So they only spent a few minutes in that amazing thing.

On the next floor the boys enjoyed Pedal Power as they rode the trikes through the trike wash.

Carsen also found a mini Whoosh! machine that used yarn koosh like balls.  That was fun.  He stuffed in all the balls at once and they flooded out at the end.  All the kids and parents were laughing and having fun with that.

We also spent some time in the Art Studio painting a rocket ship and cutting snow flakes.  Carsen had blue hair before he was done.

On the 3rd floor the boys ran the stocking portion of The Market. 

and then made me lunch in the Texture Cafe.

The boys loved the Noodle Forest that led to Someplace. 

We were then on to the Book Loft to play, not read.

But before we left, the boys played at the Pit Stop, 3 level race track.

 

And no trip with my boys would be complete without a stop at the pressed penny machine and gift shop.

I hope the boys had a great 2 week break from school and are rejuvenated and ready for the next 5 months!
