The day after Carsen's party, we had Jake's 6th birthday. The thing about having 2 kids, 3 years apart, but on the same day is that you get to have 2 parties on the same day or weekend. It makes for a busy, chaotic weekend, but there really isn't another way. They are too far apart to share anymore. Plus they each deserve their own day. Their own party. Their own attention. Their own friends. Thus, they need their own party.
She loved it.
So we made Nana try it.
And then I of course was peer pressured into doing it. It really was a lot of fun.
The kids raced, slide, jumped and ran for more than 1 hour.
Then it was time for the king to emerge and have cake.
He picked out a cool Storm Trooper cake that Nana made perfectly.
After the cake & ice cream were eaten, Jake moved to his presents.
Once the plethora of gifts were opened, the 2 birthday boys were joined for a picture.
Then all the kids wanted a turn in the big blow-up chair.

When the party was over, we handed out the favors and said goodbye to all Jake's friends. Then, Anthony wheeled out the cart of gifts to load in the car. I grabbed my purse and the kids and we were on our way home. That rocks. We had a great time. Happy Birthday to my baby!
