Goodbyes are never easy

Last week we, OK I, made the very hard decision to move cupcake to a new home.  She needs a lot of attention and while Derek "wants" to take care of a dog, he really doesn't have time.  He should be playing baseball, going outside with friends, playing video games and doing home work.  This summer he has a myriad of activities planned and none of them include the dog.

Cupcake drove me up the wall with her incessant barking.  Not just barking, but high pitch barking.  Our house is crazy busy without the added noise and stress.  I was way past my limit.  A change had to be made.  Thank heaven for my wonderful friend Betty and her husband.  They love little dogs, have lots of time to love on them and don't mind the barking.

The change was hard on Derek but he learned the difficult fact that sometimes you have to love things enough to give them to someone who can take great care of them.
