Halloween Twenty12

Halloween this year was very uneventful.  On Saturday night, before Halloween, Margene and I took the 3 youngest boys to Trunk or Treat at the church.  Derek was playing baseball and couldn't go with us.  The boys went around to the pathetic turnout of cars about 4 times each before we could load them into the car!

On Wednesday, the actual holiday, I had to work so Anthony took the boys to his parents house for a quick costume parade.  When the boys got home,DJ, Brennan & Margene, and Randi & Cody, came over walk the neighborhood.

Carsen dressed up like a Football player.

Derek picked out his first costume in about 8 years and then decided to stay home with his dad at the last minute.  I guess when you are in 7th grade, it isn't cool to trick or treat with your family.

Jake decided to dress up like Steve from his favorite video game, Mine craft.  Unfortunately, he didn't want to wear the square head piece and he didn't carry his pick axe, so he just looked like a boy.

Cody was super cute dressed up like a bird in honor of his favorite movie, Rio.  He was so happy to just be outside and walking around with his boys.

At least our bunch of XY chromosomes let me get a group photo!  We only walked around for an hour before the boys were pooped and ready to head home and eat candy.  It was the shortest trick or treat we have done in years.

As soon as we got home, Jake changed into a baseball player, just for fun and asked me to take a picture of him with his pumpkin.

This year Anthony ran out of time and did not get the carving done.  Jake took it upon himself to decorate his huge, expensive pumpkin on all 4 sides.

This year Halloween was different, but I think everyone had fun regardless.
