Folsom Fun!!!

Jake and I had so much fun with the cousins in Folsom.  First thing Nana did was get donuts for the kids.  Once we ate a healthy breakfast, Michelle headed to the airport to get her mom and Nana headed out back with her grand kids. 

 

Jake wanted me to go up in the tree house that Ryan built, but Nana wanted to and I had to take the pictures.  Thank goodness! 

 

The only way down was to jump, go down the ladder, a rope or the slide. 

 

 

Jumping was out, the ladder's stability was questionable with my weight and the slide was...well dangerous!

 

Jake was scared of the slide after Nana's incident and opted for the rope.

 

Roy and Lexi only attempted the slide while holding an adults hand.

 

The girls were as cute as ever and I love going to see them!

The whole gang was happily playing outback until it was time to head up the road to Apple Hill.

 

Apple hill was full of ranches that grow all kinds of fruit, flowers, trees, nuts and more.  Different things are available all year round, but in October they have pumpkins and apples!

 

The kids must have had a lesson at school about photo bombing because they couldn't stop doing it!  Unfortunately they didn't hear the part about going behind the person being photographed!

 

At the first apple farm Bobbie and I volunteered to buy food.  We had trays full of apple donuts, assorted kinds of apple pies, apple strudles, apple fritters and apple cider!  We each had a fork and some of everything until we were so full we couldn't stand it!

 

The next stop up the road had the candy shop that we were looking for.

 

It also had huge, huge pumpkins!

Best of all it had a park.

All of the kids loved to play on the train and in the dirt.  The weather was so beautiful and cool.  It was perfect weather for us to sit and drink our specialty lemonades and sodas with our fudge, while the kids played.

 

Later that night, the girls went to the outlets for a little shopping and then Carlys and Ryan went to the airport to pick up Grumpaw.

 

The next day was Bella's baptism, which will have its own post.  That afternoon the girls headed back to the outlets, this time with Sondra Willyerd, who was visiting for the baptism.  We left the men home for a couple hours with all the kids, but the favor was returned when we headed to the drive in movies.  The grandma's got the back of the car with all their kids.  The moms were happy to sit in chairs and wrap up with blankets.  We watched "Despicable Me 2", which was super cute.

 

Sunday morning we all went to church with Ryan and Michelle.  Ryan played the organ and did a great job.  (His mama Dianne was definitely smiling down on him from heaven)

 

After lunch, Bobbie had to head to the airport and Ryan took a small group of us on a drive to see "Fall"  I have no idea where we went, but it was a long trip, a lot longer than any of us thought, including the driver!

Overall it was beautiful and nobody peed their pants or ran out of gas!

 

Lexi was the only kid that decided to come with us and not stay with grumpaw.  We figured out it was because she wanted the electronic devices all to herself!  Pretty smart little five year old.

 

Monday morning we had to head back to the airport for our flight much too early, especially because it was delayed 2 hours!  We did arrive home safe and sound after a very fun weekend in Folsom!
