Thia was the day our family was reunited. Anthony was able to fly into West Yellowstone to have a new adventurous vacation with the family.
Our first stop was Firehole Falls. Nana wanted to take the boys swimming in this river because the water is warm due to the natural warm water running into it. Unfortunately, the water was running too fast, due to all the extra snow this year, and the swimming hole was closed.
The boys made the best of it as Grumpaw found them a different place to play in the water.
After lunch we headed North toward Mammoth. We stopped at our first hot pot. Off to the side were the bones of a buffalo that was reportedly attacked and eaten by a pack of wolves. It was pretty cool.
There are so many interesting formations in the park made from years and years of minerals building on one another.
Once we made it to Mammoth, Nana bought everyone ice cream before we parted ways. The boys all went fishing, while Grumpaw took all the girls sight seeing.
Grumpaw took us to the Artist Paint Pots, which were mosquito ridden, but very beautiful.
We also went to the North Entrance, where the arch to the first National Park is.
We also saw another beautiful waterfall, those are my favorite.
About 9 pm we met back in West Yellowstone for dinner before we crashed for the night.
