A few weeks ago Derek was able to go on his first camp out with his scout troop. They went camping up near Flagstaff, AZ at the lava tubes.
Derek got his own 3 man tent for the trip. Tyler Coniam went up to help his Dad, thank goodness he did 'cause he was able teach Derek how to set up the tent.
The boys all had fun hiking down into that dark and cold cave under the earth.
Derek loved camping, especially the camp fire and playing capture the flag.
