Like so many years before, we stayed home with the kids. It was kind of nice to just be home. The boys had no interest in going anywhere. They just wanted to play XBOX with DJ and drink Martinelli's Sparkling Cider.
Then at midnight we took our sparklers out front while the Favors' family set off their traditional fireworks. We toasted in the new year with them and then returned to the house for pumpkin roll and bed. At least I went to bed. The boys played games a little longer and then reportedly headed to bed.
